After two big updates, it’s nice to get back to something a little more straightforward, so we're happy to finally release the next date!
Continuing on from the ending of Arcade, follow 20’s next encounter with a very special lady. We won’t spoil too much about who that lady is, there’s no fun in that, but it’s a dream come true, that’s for sure.
Now that dates are resuming, we thought it was about time to take a look at the way we present the dates and give them a bit of a facelift as well, so the old dating menu has been repurposed to focus more on the gifting side of things, with additional content planned to be tied to the different affection levels, and we’ve added an all new Dating menu that provides a little more structure to the timeline.
No longer will you have to infer which dates come first in the order of things. You can just follow along the timeline, and if you have multiple dates to go through, you don’t have to click around the different girls to find it. It’s all right there at your fingertips.
To elaborate more on the Gifting menu: we felt that with the direction the narrative was shaping up, having the Store gacha gifts tied to the dates felt incompatible. As such, we wanted to give the players that engage with the gacha and the affection levels something to strive for without affecting those that just want to go through the narrative sequentially without much care about the gifting.
The affection levels will, for each girl listed, provide extra content depending on the level. This content has not been developed yet, and will be added in future updates once we have a better grasp on what it is we want, and have them all set up. We can say that we want to provide extra lore info on the characters, some exclusive audio, and perhaps unique stories that Employee 20 would not have access to, but more information on that will come when this content is added. Speaking of extra content, we have finally completed work on the Media Room menu, replacing the old Media Gallery in the extras menu. This new menu will allow you to play through all phone calls from previous nights as well as display all unlocked cutscenes and extra videos from the gacha. It features full playback control, so you can replay moments, or skip through details you don’t care about.
Alongside this, we have also added the ability to display all the unlocked Game Over screens from the Arcade, so you don’t have to suffer too badly to enjoy your favorite SFW gag, or NSFW “punishment”.
The Media Room is a little old hat, though, so don’t get too attached to it. You might find something else taking its place once you’ve had a chance to take in some of the newer content. But it’ll be there for you and 20 on every fresh save, helping you keep track until something better comes along. We’d say what, but that’d be spoilers, and those aren’t any fun.
Those are the main additions to the game this time around. We’re going to get back to work on the next update, which should contain another date and more, so look forward to that.
