Not Quite Dead: Open World Survival · published
Hey survivors!
Not Quite Dead has now sold more than 9,600 copies!
I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has bought the game, played it, reported bugs, shared feedback, joined the Discord, or simply recommended the game to a friend.
Seeing so many people playing something I created is still kind of crazy to me.
I’ve even seen reviews from players with 108+ hours played, and I’m sure some of you already have even more. Seeing people spend that much time in Not Quite Dead genuinely means a lot to me.
I’ve had some really great days lately because of all the support you’ve been giving the game. ❤️
I’m still actively working on Not Quite Dead and improving the game.
Some of the upcoming fixes and changes have already been shared on our Discord, but I haven’t posted all of them here on Steam yet, so here are a few:
Fixed helicopters disappearing after reconnecting.
Fixed the Invert Mouse setting not saving correctly.
Fixed Molotov damage and damage zone behavior.
More fixes and improvements are still being worked on.
If you want to follow development more closely, I regularly share progress, tests and upcoming changes on the Not Quite Dead Discord.
Something else I’ve noticed is that the game still doesn’t explain some of its systems well enough.
A good example is the Drill Blueprint.
Very few players seem to have discovered it, but the Drill can be extremely useful because it allows you to repair your vehicle anywhere, instead of always needing to return to a specific location.
There are several things like this in the game that players can easily miss.
I want to improve tutorials, descriptions and information so players better understand what they can craft, discover and use without removing the exploration aspect of the game. đźš› Quick Tip: How to Flip Your Truck & Trailer
If your truck or trailer flips over, you don’t have to abandon your mobile base!
Here’s how to recover it:
Enter the truck, even if it is lying on its side.
Press K to detach the trailer.
Exit the truck and stand beside it.
Press Z to flip the truck back upright.
Walk back to the trailer and stand beside it.
Press Z to flip the trailer back upright.
Reconnect the trailer and continue your journey!
Your buildings will remain attached to the trailer, so you can recover your mobile base instead of losing it after an accident.
The new Wasteland area is currently in development!
I actually worked on it during a livestream not too long ago and showed some of the progress.
The goal is to make the southern part of the map feel much more distinct from the greener areas of the island, with its own atmosphere, locations and dangers.
There’s still work to do, but development is moving forward.
I’m going to keep improving the game, fixing problems and adding more content.
Not Quite Dead wouldn’t be where it is today without all of you.
If you’re enjoying the game and haven’t left a Steam review yet, a positive review is one of the best ways you can support the project.
Reviews help new players discover the game and show me that you want development to continue.
Of course, keep sending your feedback and bug reports too. I read a lot of what you post, and it helps me decide what needs attention next.
Thank you for 9,600 copies sold. Thank you for playing. And thank you for giving Not Quite Dead a chance. ❤️
See you on the island, survivors!
