Sticky Paws · published · build 25163497
Hey! This update makes Capture Mode easier to use when recording gameplay, with a consistent audio mix and optional OBS setup files.
Capture Mode
- Find Capture Mode at Options > Video > Capture Mode.
- Capture Mode now locks its recording audio mix. Music and musical jingles are set to 0%. Main, Sound, Ambient, Footsteps, and Voices are set to 70%.
- Options > Audio clearly marks the locked volume sliders. Turn off Capture Mode before changing them.
- Options > Video now locks resolution, GUI scale, and fullscreen while Capture Mode is active.
- Desktop Capture requires 1920x1080 at 60 FPS. Handheld Capture requires 1280x720 at 60 FPS.
- Your previous audio and video settings are remembered. Use Turn Off and Restore Settings to restore them.
- The Recording Checklist now includes audio checks and clearer setup instructions.
OBS Recording Setup
- On supported desktop systems, open Options > Video > Capture Mode > OBS Recording Setup.
- You can save a ZIP for either the 1280x720 or 1920x1080 preset. Each ZIP includes an OBS Profile, setup instructions, and a Scene Collection where available.
- Saving an OBS setup does not start OBS or enable Capture Mode. Import the files into OBS, enable the matching preset in the game, and test a short recording first.
- Windows exports include a Game Capture scene configured for the game's picture and audio without desktop or microphone sources.
- Linux exports require you to select the Sticky Paws window and add game-only audio manually. The Linux setup still needs testing.
- After saving, use Open Saved OBS Setup Folder, extract the ZIP, and read READ ME FIRST.txt.
