Brimir Update — Rift Danger as a Number · Lineage · Rune Reordering (v1567)
This patch focuses on answering "how far can I actually go right now?"
Guild danger readouts changed, and Lineage — a second way to settle a death — is in.
📊 Rift Danger — from Sigil tier to a combat power number
- Advised combat power is now a number. It used to read like "Advised Sigil 5 ★★★★★", but Sigils cap at tier 5, so everything above that piled into one box. 9 of 27 Rifts all read "Transcendent ★★★★★" — no information exactly where you needed it most.
- It sits next to your own figure. You'll see "Rec. 9,737 · now 8,400 Risky", colored Favorable / Even / Risky / Reckless. It's a ratio, so the readout keeps pace as your character grows.
- "Now" counts only who deploys. Companions waiting at the hideout and non-combatants are excluded — a number that climbs just from recruiting would be a lie.
- Offering summons use the same readout.
🩸 Lineage — settling up with what buried you
- The game remembers the strong thing that killed you. Kill it later and you get Pilgrimage Trace back.
- It pairs with the existing Grudge — Grudge is a single slot that settles a weaker killer's wound in Geld, while Lineage is a running tally against strong ones and persists on your account.
- That "2 wins, 1 loss. Which way this time?" line on re-encounter now pays out.
🖱️ Rune reordering — press and drag
- Press and hold a rune card in the stat window to drag it into a new slot. The hold gate means scrolling won't accidentally pick a card up.
- The ▲▼ buttons are still there
⚖️ Balance
- Element tier threshold reduction now adds up across the party. It used to take only the highest single contributor, so stacking it on several members did nothing.
- Kaldris's Rune has changed — it now suits Skadi better, and adds Frost stacks when you take a hit.
- Balkaros's Rune has changed — more Fire affinity, and its overload ignition now applies through Fire skills.
- New Numeros added to the Blood Pilgrimage Rift.
🔧 Fixes
- Rune Archive contracts now match grades properly — grade 3 contracts only ask for grade 3 monster Runes, grade 4 for grade 4.
- The bestiary now shows how many Rune colors a given monster holds.
- The Shipwright was added to the town travel rail.
- Monster skill telegraphs got an outline so they read more clearly.
- The Sleeping Knight's Offering needs fewer Crack Stones.
- Bestiary filters now stay applied until you actively clear them.
- Fixed which monsters drift on the sea.
- The west Silent Tomb used to connect to the south Orc Warren on Floor 3, and the south Twilight Desert to the west Wraith Marsh. To stop that being confusing, the west Silent Tomb now leads to the west Wraith Marsh, and the south Twilight Desert to the south Orc Warren.
- Incarnation Rune color changed from rainbow to magenta.
The advised combat power figures are still being tuned. If something reads "I was over the recommendation and still struggled" — or the opposite — please tell us; that feedback goes straight into the numbers.
