We have another important update for you: Ecumene Aztec is heading to PAX East 2026 in Boston! The event will take place from March 26-29, 2026, and it is one of the most important gaming events in the United States.
This is a very important step for us. Last year, we had the chance to present the project at many industry events - from DevGAMM, Tokyo Game Show, and gamescom, to GDC and Reboot Develop Blue in Dubrovnik. Every one of those events gave us something incredibly valuable: conversations, reactions, and feedback that helped us better understand how to continue developing Ecumene Aztec. Now, that experience is joined by something just as important - your feedback from the playtests. Recently, we received a huge number of comments, opinions, and observations from you. It truly feels like we are entering the next stage of this journey: before, we learned through conversations at trade shows and events, and now we are also receiving an equally valuable perspective directly from players. That is hugely motivating for us.
We see this trip to Boston not only as an opportunity to showcase the game - of course, we’re bringing a DEMO, which you will also be able to play on Steam - but also as another important test. We want to observe players’ reactions, talk with people from across the industry, and continue learning which elements of Ecumene Aztec work best and which still need improvement. We are ready to reveal new ideas and share the direction in which the game is evolving. This is especially important now, as we are still working on implementing the lessons learned from the recent tests. As we mentioned before, we are currently focused on further developing the mechanics that will give the game its own unique identity. That includes the blood mechanic, which we will talk more about once the post-show dust settles.
PAX East will be another major stop on this journey - and not the last one. In 2026, we plan to appear at more events as well. We want to keep showing Ecumene Aztec to the world, gathering feedback, and developing the game so that with every new presentation it becomes stronger, better, and closer to your expectations.Thank you for being with us on this journey. Follow us on social media, give us a follow, add the game to your wishlist, join our Discord, and keep your fingers crossed for us in Boston! The Ecumene Aztec Development Team
